The head of the dispatch service at MP "Bishkekteploset", Urmat Kubanychbek uulu, informed about the high wear and tear of heat networks in Bishkek, which is over 70 percent. According to announcements, hot water supply will be suspended from April 21 to May 31, 2025, for preventive and repair work. Urmat Kubanychbek uulu noted: "Why so early? In June, the irrigation season begins, the city is growing, everyone actively irrigates their gardens. Due to this, we moved preventive works ten days earlier. We are shutting off water for 40 days instead of 30 because there's a lot of work and we can't complete it on time." A radio listener asked: "Why is the water completely cut off across the entire city for 40 days, rather than by separate districts and not for 15 days?" Urmat Kubanychbek uulu replied: "We take this issue seriously. As engineers, we know better, we wouldn't want it either, but that's how it turns out."
