The United States has suspended the satellite broadcast of "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty" in Russia. Steven Kappus, CEO of the media corporation, announced that American authorities have turned off the satellite through which the Russian-language TV channel "Current Time" was aired. The transmission was not only available in Russia but also in Ukraine, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. USAGM has terminated broadcasting contracts. Now, Russian viewers see a red screen with the message: "We regret to inform you that USAGM has decided to stop the broadcast of 'Current Time'." On March 14, U.S. President Donald Trump issued an order instructing seven federal agencies to cut their staff as much as possible.
