Ukraine and the USA have signed a memorandum on an agreement about minerals. Ukrainian Vice-Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko informed about this in her post on Facebook: "Today we took a step towards joint cooperation with the United States in economic partnership." The agreement provides for the creation of an investment fund for the restoration of Ukraine and ratification by parliaments. The new project obligates Ukraine to compensate for aid worth over $120 billion, while the USA gains control over the investment fund from Kyiv's licensing payments and mineral extraction rents. The agreement remains in effect until the repayment of the United States' expenditures on military aid with 4% annual interest.
