On April 10, 2025, President of the United States Donald Trump raised import tariffs for goods from China to a level of 145%. 'The U.S. tariff on Chinese imports now stands at 145%', reported a White House representative to CNBC.

On April 9, 2025, Trump increased tariffs on goods from China to the level of 125%. 'Due to the disrespect that China has shown to world markets, I am raising the tariff imposed by the United States of America on China to 125%, effective today', noted Trump.

Earlier in response to the previous increase in tariffs by Beijing, Trump raised import tariffs for goods from China to a level of 104%. In response, Chinese authorities first increased their tariffs to 34% and then to 84%.

In connection with new tariffs, companies HP, Dell, Acer, Asus, and Lenovo announced the suspension of notebook shipments from Taiwan to the US for two weeks. The company Razer has stopped direct deliveries of notebooks to the USA due to new tariffs against China, Taiwan, and other countries. On the Razer website, users in the US have access only to additional components and accessories.
