Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was hospitalized on March 26, 2024, at the Military Medical Academy (MMA) in Belgrade after a sudden deterioration in health in Florida. According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Vucic experienced a "short-term acute chest pain" and issues with blood pressure. MMA cardiologist Dragan Dincic stated that the president has been experiencing blood pressure problems for about ten years. Vucic was discharged from the MMA on March 27, 2024, after 5 p.m. local time. Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Pink TV: "He feels better, but this is already the third or fourth similar episode." Vucic's visit to the U.S., which included a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, has been postponed. It is also unclear whether his planned trip to Moscow on May 9, 2024, for military celebrations, will take place.
