Under the state policy for developing the Arctic until 2035, Russia plans to construct modern helium-filled dirigibles for transporting goods in remote areas of the Russian Far North. The dirigibles will be made using composite materials ensuring strength and lightness. The planned cargo capacity is up to 200 tons with a speed of up to 100 km/h. This solution is driven by the complex conditions of the region where ground transportation is limited due to the lack of developed road infrastructure.
