MP of the Jogorku Kenesh, Dastan Bekeshov, expressed criticism towards the car towing system in the city of Bishkek, calling it a 'pure racket' and a business. According to him, after the car is towed, information about its location is not available through official city services. The impound lot was found only thanks to a tip from a taxi driver.

Visiting the city traffic police in Bishknek, the MP paid 2 thousand soms for towing service and 300 soms as a fine for improper parking. 'This is the business of our wonderful municipality,' - noted Dastan Bekeshov.

Bekeshov proposed an alternative approach: fining violators without towing, attaching a protocol with a QR code for online payment to the windshield. 'Let the fine be not 300, but 500 or 600 soms,' - he said.

The MP expressed surprise at the antimonopoly agency's approval of a price of 2 thousand soms for towing a car over a short distance. 'This is pure business that needs to be eliminated,' - concluded Bekeshov.
