At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Marlen Mamataliev spoke about the activities of the working group for legalizing cars with foreign plates, which completed its work on April 1 instead of the planned date - March 1. The members initially set the cost of legalization at 100 thousand soms. Marlen Mamataliev noted: 'At first, its members decided that legalization would cost 100 thousand soms. I called the head of the working group and the director of GP "Unaa" to request a reduction in price. Both agreed but the resolution states the amount as 100 thousand.' The deputy also proposes allowing citizens to export legalized cars abroad for sale and provide an installment plan for payment. Marlen Mamataliev requests Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbekov uulu to include these amendments in the resolution. Legalization of cars with foreign number plates begins on April 1 and ends by mid-September 2025. Owners of cars with Armenian and Abkhazian plates must apply to regional offices for legalization of their vehicles for 100 thousand soms.
