The active phase of placing engineering equipment on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in the Batken region has begun. This was reported by the press service of the border guard under the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. Kamchybek Tashiev monitored the progress of the work in online mode. On-site, the activities were overseen by the government's special representative for border issues, Nazarbek Borubaev, and the presidential envoy to the Batken region, Aibek Shamenv. A field camp has been set up in the border area, and special equipment has been delivered. In the first stage, 420 km of obstacles will be equipped. 3D grids, barbed wire, and "Egoza" barbed wire will be installed, and a multi-level security system will be created. On certain sections, anti-tank ditches will be dug.
