The IDF carried out 15 airstrikes against Hezbollah's drone storage facility in the southern suburb of Dahieh, Beirut, following a rocket attack on Israel with two rockets launched from Lebanese territory early morning on April 28. One of the rockets was intercepted by the missile defense system, while the other fell on the Lebanese side. Air raid sirens were heard in Kiryat Shmona, Tel-Hai, Margaliot, and Migdal-Avia cities. The army reported on X platform: "The IDF warned civilians beforehand about the strike and will continue operations to eliminate any threat against Israeli civilian population." Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu stated: "We will strictly adhere to the ceasefire regime while attacking any threat to the State of Israel throughout Lebanon's territory. We will ensure safe return for all our northern residents to their homes." The Lebanese army discovered a rocket launcher used in the attack in the Kaakait al-Jisr area near Nabatiyeh.
