The Chinese company Huawei Technologies is preparing to implement the new artificial intelligence processor, Ascend 910D. The company plans to replace more expensive products from Nvidia with it. Huawei has approached some Chinese tech companies with an offer to conduct testing of the Ascend 910D chip.

The first batch of the Ascend 910D processor will be released at the end of May. Mass deliveries of the enhanced artificial intelligence chip 910C to Chinese clients will begin next month, with some deliveries already underway.

Huawei and its Chinese counterparts have been trying to compete with Nvidia in creating top-tier chips for training AI models. In response to US restrictions, Huawei hopes that the Ascend processor will be more powerful than Nvidia's H100 model.
