Huawei Enterprise has blocked the capability to issue licenses for Russian WiFi controllers. Starting from March 2022, after blocking partner accounts, Huawei clients and developers in Russia faced difficulties in purchasing additional licenses for existing WiFi controller models acquired before 2022. According to new rules, a license for a Huawei controller with a Russian ESN can only be generated by the Huawei Enterprise representation in Russia.
In April 2022, the company disconnected partner accounts of clients from Russia and blocked their access to software and configuration tools. By the end of the same year, the company ceased direct shipments of smartphones, tablets, laptops, TVs, and other devices to Russia.
The Huawei Enterprise representation in Russia does not take on commercial offers for projects under $40 thousand, leading to an inability to expand WiFi networks for many current clients, except for large corporations.
