In the Russian Federation, from 2016 to 2023, the number of migrant parents from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan increased by 286.8% and 258.1%, respectively, among fathers, and by 236.6% and 84% among mothers. Data provided by the Russian Academy of Sciences. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, almost half of parents of newborns are migrants. The annual decrease in the share of Russians in demographic statistics is 3.1%.
