In late last year and early this year, many tenders for drug supplies in the Voronezh region saw no applicants. Suppliers who did submit an application and won the tender have halted deliveries due to a lack of medicines at warehouses or manufacturers. A similar situation has emerged in some other regions.

Regional health ministry staff are helping the investigation to identify those responsible for the supply disruption. The case was initiated under the charge of negligence (Article 293, Part 1 of the Criminal Code). At present, the Ministry of Health is doing its utmost to resolve the issue.

To attract suppliers more effectively, tenders are now being held for smaller batches. Pharmacies exchange necessary information with each other and have established a hotline.
