The State Council of China has announced the introduction of a 34 percent tariff on all products from the USA. The Tariff Commission under the State Council of PRC noted that this step is a response to the tariff policy of US President Donald Trump. 'The actions of the United States do not comply with international trade rules, seriously undermine the lawful rights and interests of China and are typical examples of unilateral intimidation,' it says in the statement.

On April 2nd, the White House implemented a new system of import duties. The main rate is 10 percent, but for China it reaches 34 percent, which together with previous tariffs sums up to 54 percent for Chinese imports, as clarified by the US Secretary of the Treasury.
