The Central Election Commission (CEC) deprived Sultanbai Ayjigitov of his mandate as a deputy to the Jogorku Kenesh on March 28. The head of the CEC, Tyngtyk Shaynazarov, informed that the State Committee for National Security presented materials about violations of legal requirements during Ayjigitov's registration as a candidate. The chief of the GKNB department, Jeenish Seyitov, noted that on February 14, 2020, the Sokuluk district court found Ayjigitov guilty under Article 234 part 2 point 3 of the Criminal Code of KR 'Hooliganism', but acquitted him due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. When filling out the registration form on October 7, 2021, in the field 'Convictions', Ayjigitov indicated 'no'. Members of the committee canceled Ayjigitov's registration as an elected deputy of Jogorku Kenesh. Eleven members of the CEC voted for it, one - Nurlan Koichuev - against.
