An 18-year-old student from St. Petersburg, studying in Voronezh, died on March 11 after receiving an eye injection at VOKOB. Previously, the girl had sought medical attention due to pain and excessive tearing. At the hospital, she was given an injection, following which she lost consciousness. Doctors administered three more doses of analgesics, after which she suffocated and died. The parents arrived in Voronezh immediately after the tragedy. According to the forensic report, the cause of death was anaphylactic shock. A criminal case has been initiated and an investigation is underway. The family intends to seek a re-examination to identify the cause of the allergic reaction.
